1. Introduction to SwitHome
SwitHome is a system that allows post-stroke patients with difficulty in walking to undergo self-rehabilitation at their homes. The self-rehabilitation have the remote follow up from a therapist.
SwitHome is a set of tools including an innovative high-resolution insole for pressure mapping, a tablet application, and a therapist-patient communication web platform.
Some of the rehabilitation sessions are performed at home with the help of a family caregiver rather than relying on full-time involvement of the therapist.
In-home rehabilitation is performed through exercises for patient gait correction. The system provides real-time feedback for patients and data for progress monitoring to the therapist.
